Wow, I'm actually only 29 down on blogs that I need to read. Finally I feel like I'm catching up! So, I thought I'd get my entry done and in early today.

I have a couple of things I want to talk about, the first item is the College World Series.

I LOVE the CWS. I'm tremendously pleased that it comes to my little town every year. (GO OMAHA!) We're indebted to all of those that make the trek to spend the week in our fair city ... spending their hard-earned doll hairs in our restaurants and bars, and of course at the ball park. So first off, thank you - thank you - thank you folks for sticking with us in the big O town for the CWS.

On Friday night I was saying to myself 'What on earth is going on to make everyone on the road drive like a Sunday effin driver, and why is my WHOLE apartment parking lot full?'

That being said, I'd like to ask ... where did you people learn to drive? It's not difficult at ALL to get through Omaha, our intrastate makes a HUGE circle all the way around the town, really you can't get lost, and if you miss a turn ... there's one a mile later. The whole town is set up like a grid! You could play Scrabble on it, FO SHO MOFO!

So ... as I was driving home from work on Friday night, I was gobsmacked at the number of people who were driving WAYYYYY under the speed limit, slowing all the traffic down. Crossing six lanes of traffic to hit an exit. Absolutely insane, I was thinking to myself ... "Is today Sunday?"

Last night ... I recalled ... 'Oh ... it's CWS week! Duh!'

Well ... TODAY is actually Sunday, so I'm prepared for the Sunday drivers, luckily I got through Friday and Saturday nights getting home and with my SANITY in tact. WAHOOEY!

Last night I watched the last ever episode of Pushing Daisies, and here's a quaint little quote from it ...
"... you two -- normally -- are as solid as they come, because your moral compass is always pointing due ... the right thing, but CLEARLY someone has been screwing with your magnetic fields."

Now ... onto one of the main focuses of my life ... TELEVISION! Tonight I get the distinct pleasure of the new season of True Blood. There is NOTHING like a vampire show to make me shimmy with happiness.

True Blood:
A synthetic blood has been created, and since vampires no longer have to feed on humans ... they can come out of the coffin-closet! However, like anything new that is introduced into society, they are treated with mistrust and contempt. In addition, there are vampires out there that still prefer humans to synthetic. (And really who could blame them? We're chock full of salty fatty goodness!)

In addition, apparently vampire blood is an highly potent psychedelic drug to humans! I'm very excited to see how this season plays out.

Also on tonight is Army Wives, which started out the season on a strong note (click on Army Wives for a link to my post about the show). The potential break-up of several families, strife and of course Roxy's famous one liners!! He he he! Also on, The Next Food Network Star (I like a lot of the contestants this year better than I liked last years!) and finally ...

In Plain Sight:
Mary is a US Marshall. Her job is to protect those people who have been put into witness protection. Hard job? Probably not, except all of her witnesses find themselves in dodgy situations. This is a fun show to pass the time with. Oh and her partner, Marshall, he's not hard on the eyes either. *grins*

Now ... I have the day off tomorrow, so luckily I'll be able to stop on my way home and get me some VINO to have with my TV time! Oh yeah ... that's what I'm talking about! (Although, I may switch it up and get me some lime twisted Seagrams Gin, yummy!)

This is a pretty long post, so I'll be forgoing the funny today ... and heading on to the rest!

I LOVE True Blood. I've only seen the first two episodes too. I must rent the first season; I hear it's available now.
