The Looky-Loos

That Crazy Kid!

Okay, I didn't plan on posting today, but there are a couple of things to touch on. I came across this shrimp recipe that is EZPZ and I had to share it with you. The lovely thing about it -- unless you're grilling the shrimp in your kitchen -- no extra heat in the house. So if you're like most of melting America ... you'll appreciate it!

Secondly to Pam at Sidewalk Shoes thanks for the GL with the deadly handsome man, we'll see how it goes. Don't know how I can post about it, as I've given him this link ... I may have to give the info on the DL! Ya know?

Finally, Congratulations to Ryan, Cole and LB on the birth of their baby girl!!!

Like I said, I didn't plan on doing a proper post ... but since I am ... let's do it up right!!!

Funny: Sorry Guys
A little known fact ....

The first testicular guard "Cup" was used in Hockey in 1874 and
the first helmet was used in 1974.

It took 100 years for men to realize that the brain is also important.

ஜ~§The Question Of The Day§~ஜ

In your opinion, what is the cutest animal baby?

(See apparently I have baby on the brain now, so what the heck, we'll just go with it.)

Maltese puppies are my fave animal babies!

Grilled Shrimp with Molasses-Guava Glaze

6 tablespoons mild-flavored (light) molasses
3 tablespoons guava or apricot jam
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
3 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons finely grated lime peel
32 uncooked medium shrimp, peeled, deveined
Fine sea salt

Special equipment:
8 metal skewers or 8 wooden skewers soaked in water at least 1 hour

Microwave first 3 ingredients in medium bowl until jam and butter melt, about 20 seconds. Stir to blend. Stir lime peel into glaze. Thread 4 shrimp onto each skewer. DO AHEAD: Glaze and shrimp can be made 8 hours ahead.

Cover separately and chill. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Sprinkle shrimp with sea salt. Place 3 tablespoons glaze in bowl; set aside. Brush shrimp with some of remaining glaze. Grill shrimp until just opaque in center, brushing occasionally with glaze, about 2 minutes per side. Drizzle with reserved glaze and serve.

Brightest Blessings,
