Heya folksies! I don't really have much news to report. I'm really exhausted today and there's really no reason why! Tomorrow I'm heading to the salon to get my hair trimmed up. It's not going to change much though, trim only.
I am slowly but surely getting my books catalogued, which is nice, because I'm really ready to get some of them stored!
I'm still working through my shows. Out of my long list Sunday night ... I have seen True Blood. Ohhhh I can't wait to see what happens with Sookie at the church and what happens with Merlotte in the clearing! This show is more and more amazing by the day!!! Also I got through Army Wives and Merlin. I'm more and more in love with Merlin each week and Army Wives is a good steady drama!
My car has been acting up for several days, and it's annoying me. I can't wait until the bloody thing is paid off and I can trade it in. I love my little truck, I want a new little truck with a warranty though. My father has several things that he needs to do to mine cosmetically though ... then ... trade-in here I come! And ... this is what I'll be getting ...
As you'll see ... I've added the Poem of the Day back in. I just sort of missed it.
Last night I recorded ...
The Closer
Brenda snoops into the slaying of a man who had been the prime suspect of a double murder a decade earlier. But Brenda s investigation is marred by an obsessed detective (Tom Skerritt).
Raising The Bar
Bobbi advocates for a confidential informant who fears his powerful codefendant could have him killed. Jerry tries to assist Bobbi in the case.
Tonight I'm recording ...
Hell's Kitchen
Ohhh big fight tonight ... The 14 remaining chefs are awoken in the middle of the night and ordered to prepare a spaghetti dinner for hungry firefighters.
Warehouse 13
Artie gets kidnapped by the source of the warehouse s security breach, Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti). She enlists Artie to help right a wrong. This is a really excellent show! It's so much fun and it could go so many places. I love it!
Better Off Ted
Ted creates a phony project for Linda after she hears that Veridian is going green, which becomes problematic when other staffers want to join the cause. This show is super funny, if you're looking to kill a half an hour ... give it a shot!
Tomorrow I'll be writing something up about the 5 episode Torchwood series arc. It really was brilliant!
and a funny ~~
Love making tips for Seniors
1. Wear your glasses. Make sure your partner is actually in the bed.
2. Set timer for 3 minutes, in case you doze off in the middle.
3. Set the mood with lighting. (Turn them ALL OFF!)
4. Make sure you put 911 on your speed dial before you begin.
5. Write partner's name on your hand in case you can't remember.
6. Keep the polygrip close by so your teeth don't end up under the bed.
7. Have Tylenol ready in case you actually complete the act.
8. Make all the noise you want... The neighbors are deaf too.
9. If it works, call everyone you know with the good news.
10. Don't even think about trying it twice.
(I sent this in large type so you can read it)
He had discovered a great law of human action, without knowing it - namely, that in order to make a man or a boy covet a thing, it is only necessary to make the thing difficult to obtain.
- Mark Twain
Which modern invention do you think the world would be better off without?

Of this worlds theatre in which we stay,
My love like the spectator ydly sits
Beholding me that all the pageants play,
Disguysing diversly my troubled wits.
Sometimes I joy when glad occasion fits,
And mask in myrth lyke to a comedy:
Soone after when my joy to sorrow flits,
I waile and make my woes a tragedy.
Yet she, beholding me with constant eye,
Delights not in my merth nor rues my smart:
But when I laugh she mocks, and when I cry
She laughs and hardens evermore her heart.
What then can move her? if nor merth nor mone,
She is no woman, but a senceless stone.
Edmund Spenser
This is a favorite of mine, I just love it when my mom cooks this stuff!!!
Ingredients:
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Cream of Mushroom Soup*
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. chopped pimentos (optional)
1 cup frozen peas***
2 cans (about 6 oz. each) tuna, drained and flaked
2 cups hot cooked medium egg noodles
2 tbsp. dry bread crumbs****
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation:
Mix soup, milk, pimento, peas, tuna and noodles in 1 1/2-qt. casserole. Bake at 400°F. for 20 min. or until hot. Stir.
Mix bread crumbs with butter and sprinkle on top. Bake 5 min.
Tip: This recipe is also great using Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Celery or 98% Fat Free Cream of Celery Soup.
*I use the Cream of Mushroom w/ Garlic soup for more flavor
**I skip the pimentos
***You can substitute peas with broccoli, cauliflower or asparagus tips
****Instead of breadcrumbs, I break up potato chips over the top
Enjoy!!!
